This tutorial will instruct you on how to turn on Cookies and Javascript using either I.E 5.X or Netscape.

Internet Explorer 5.0 users

Follow these steps:

  1. Select Internet Options from the Tools menu. The Internet Options dialog opens.

  2. Click the Security tab.

  3. Locate the Custom area of the Security tab, and click the Custom Level button. The Security Settings dialog opens.

  4. Scroll down to the Cookies section of the Settings window. To access the Campus Pipeline system, your browser must support non-persistent cookies. To enable this support, select the Enable radio button under Allow per-session cookies (not stored).

    (Some of the third-party content and service providers that you can connect to through the Campus Pipeline interface may require your browser to support persistent cookies. To enable support for persistent cookies, select the Enable radio button under Allow cookies that are stored on your computer.)

  5. Scroll down to the Scripting section of the Settings window. To access the Campus Pipeline system, your browser must support JavaScript and Java. You must select the Enable radio button under Active Scripting.

  6. Click OK to close the Security Settings dialog.

  7. Click OK to close the Internet Options dialog.

Netscape Communicator:

Follow these steps:

  1. Select Preferences from the Edit menu. The Preferences dialog opens.

  2. Select Advanced in the Category window. The right pane displays a set of advanced options.

  3. In the top section of the right pane, select the Enable Java and Enable JavaScript check boxes.

  4. To access the Campus Pipeline system, your browser must support non-persistent cookies. To enable this support, in the Cookies section of the window, select the Accept only cookies that get sent back to the originating server.

    (Some of the third-party content and service providers that you can connect to through the Campus Pipeline interface may require your browser to support persistent cookies. To enable support for persistent cookies, select the Accept all cookies check box.)

  5. To save your changes and close the Preferences dialog, click the OK button.
